Financial Administrator & Client Care Specialist
It’s not everyday that a person chooses his professional path based on family discussions around the dinner table. That is unless you’re Kyle Khuat, who made his decision to build a career in the finance industry at a young age.
“Since I was little, I listened to my parent’s conversations about the economy and the financial industry and I was very curious about how it all worked,” he explains. “That’s why I decided to go to the University of Western Ontario to study finance. There were so many interesting subjects at school, but I soon discovered a passion for mortgage and actuarial science.”
As an international student from Vietnam, Kyle faced the added challenge of adjusting to an entirely new culture when he emigrated to Canada. That didn’t deter him from pursuing his dreams, a moment that culminated in his graduation from UWO with an honours degree in finance for management and organizational studies, as well as a place on the dean’s honours list for academic achievement.
While still attending university, Kyle served as the vice-president of communications for the Vietnamese Student Association. The volunteer position helped him develop critical interpersonal, planning and problem-solving skills. That experience only fuelled his passion for all things finance, prompting him to apply and obtain a role as a Global Trade and Receivables Finance intern at HSBC. He also worked as an audit intern for Deloitte and took part in the Deloitte training program where he was awarded Best Presenter.
“I believe the skills I acquired in those roles are crucial in my current position as financial administrator and client care specialist at Outline Financial,” he notes.

That says a lot about the quality of the people who work at Outline Financial, as well as the strength of our corporate culture.”
