Mortgage Agent Level 2
After more than 14 years in banking, Steve Fiorini came to an important conclusion, one that he now applies to help Outline Financial clients achieve financial success: It isn’t necessarily what a mortgage means for them today, but what that property means for their financial future in 15, 20 or 25 years.
After completing a three-year program in finance at Sheridan College, Steve sought a career where he could deliver guidance to people aiming to build and maintain wealth. That eventually set him on a path towards the lending sector, helping clients make smart decisions around mortgage borrowing—likely the most consequential financial decision that most Canadians will ever make. He soon took a role at a major Canadian bank at the retail level, later being promoted to mortgage specialist. Steve would remain in that latter position for nine years before joining Outline Financial.
In the banking sector Steve earned a reputation for service excellence, winning numerous accolades in areas such as sales, regional performance and team mentoring. Along the way, he came to understand just how essential it is for clients to have a qualified advisor assisting them with borrowing or investment advice. Providing customized solutions proved just as important.
“I’ve learned over the years that there’s no such thing as a standard mortgage client,” he says. “Everyone’s situation and stage in life is different, and what we offer is the ability to find the right solution that fits best at any stage. The only bad questions are the unanswered ones, so I encourage our clients to ask away, so they fully understand their mortgage options.”
What Steve wants you to know about Outline Financial: “I was drawn to Outline because of the team’s ethics, customer focus and professionalism,” he explains. “Our client service experience is very hands on and personalized and we’re dedicated to being the expert that helps steer clients towards mortgage solutions that best align with their long-term financial plan. It’s all about problem solving and making the seemingly complex straightforward and achievable.”
Here’s what you may not know about Steve: His interests are as diverse as they are interesting. Steve enjoys small scale woodworking, playing guitar and backyard barbecues with family and friends. On the wellness side, he bikes, weightlifts and practices yoga, but only when he’s not exploring new restaurants around Toronto or travelling to far flung destinations. Each year he tries to tick a destination from his bucket list, which has so far included Kenya, Spain, Thailand and several other vacation hotspots.
